I have a network 128.187.2.0/24 and 128.187.1.0/24 that was setup by a
vendor.
I'm not too sure about the subnet mask above might be 16.
I have a host on 128.187.2.1 and 128.187.1.1 that I need a network to talk
to.
I have a firewall setup like the following.
eth1: 128.187.3.1/24 and eth2: 128.1

dual procesor system or not ? I would like to have trafic controling (htb
or cbq/sfq) and firewall (iptables) on this router.
Can you recommend me some good motherborad with 64-bit PCI-X ?

Hello!
I've read in the LARTC-HOWTO in order to understand how the priomap
works. There is one thing I don't understand. If I look at page 31 there
is a table which describes how the different TOS-flags are corresponded
by bands in the default setup. All fine and dandy. But when I look at
page 32
Hi,

Exactly :) Alphas used to set 1024 as default. It is because
Alpha was very low interrupt latency compared to x86.

IMHO :)
HZ defines the heart beat of the Linux system in terms of 'jiffies'.
Increasing HZ will increase the number of interrupts on the system (e.g.
timer interrupt) and hence might not be useful for typical desktops, since
handling these system interrupts will not leave much CPU time for
appl
I change it regulary. I didn't experienced any problems - only
lockups on slow systems which can't handle it.
There should be no problem regarding the change.
