It finally works! Turns out that it was a cable problem. I was using
a straight through cable but I actually did need crossover cables.

running and then reran labview, that error disappeared. Funny thing
though, now I get an error -1073807339 (timeout expired) for my VISA
write. As you can tell, I'm new at this.
ified the values for Baudrate (4800),
parity (even), handshake (RTS/CTS), data bits (7), and stop bit (1).
