The workaround for this bug is exactly what you have done, copying the
contents of the block diagram into a new VI. I would be happy to
report this to R&D, however, I will need the LabVIEW 6.0.2 version of
your VI with the block diagram.

Reduplicated your problem... pretty messed up. I have no idea why it
does that. I deleted everything in the VI and it still gives the
error so it must be something in the LV conversion process that got
messed up. Perhaps someone with more insight into the internal
workings of LV would be able to
