Your feeling is exactly correct. By default, the LabVIEW 5.1
installer will install an older version of the NI-DAQ driver software.
More than likely, the older driver has been installed over the new
driver and has corrupted it.

We bought a new card PCI-MIO-16E, it came with new NI MAX driver. We
installed the card, everything worked OK. Today, We install a
distributed LabVIEW 5.1, using Appbuilder, the software worked on
other PCs OK.
Now we have nimax error at boot up or when we try to run Measurement
and Automation.
