I guess it is a bug in Lazarus 0.9.28.2 Beta on Linux Debian 5.01, compiled
from source.
Ctl-C and Ctl-X do what they are supposed to do, but Ctl-V does not paste.
Edit--> Paste works fine.
I have tried to redefine the key sequence but no luck.

You can not determine if a string is an UTF8 one, only if it is an
UTF8 well formed sequence. In other words, you can not detect if a
string IS an UTF8, only if it does not have UTF8 errors

I use a dyn loaded lib with my app, which seems to be relevant.
If I call Application.ProcessMessages from within a TTimer.OnTimer

I suspect a threadlock going on. Does it work OK without the
application.processmessages?
