Hi Zealon
Have a look at this post:
http://www.nag.co.za/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?29816.0#post_30569
It describes my S2DL framework (using SDL and OPENGL) - its completely free to
use. The tutorial in the download includes getting it up and running in
FreePascal and Lazarus.

ie Do the first regular search using "Looking" and "Kid" to get a list of the
books that "might" have the full phrase in it. Then only decompress and search
in those books for the full phrase.

Also ask questions like this at www.pascalgamedevelopment.com for other
possible answers.
I have used OpenGL through the SDL libraries in freepascal before so its quite
possible. I havn;t tested my apps on Linux but they work well on windows.

The best place to ask a question like this would be at
www.pascalgamedevelopment.com We look at game development using all forms of
Pascal including FreePascal and Delphi.
JEDI-SDL is fully supported in FreePascal. (I know of a number of games
successfully developed using SDL and FreePascal).
There are a number of game libraries that work on FreePascal - presumably they
will work in Lazarus as well.
JEDI-SDL is fully compatible with FreePascal (Including the opengl bindings
through SDL)
as far as I know both GLScene and GLXtreem have been proven to work with
FreePascal.
