Interesting survey. It would be also interesting to host a similar survey targeted towards other types of LDS professionals such as marketers, strategists, HCI designers, etc. As Computer Scientists/Engineers, we often 'solve problems' without directly meeting or addressing 'user needs'.

My vision of where I would like to take a community of volunteers is much beyond technology. I can see us using volunteers to Provide translations for all non-religious text (manuals, education materials, etc). Provide a source where people can exchange computer art, music, etc. Provide

It came up in a different thread, but it's probably deserving of thread of its own. Who is going to OSCon? (I am.) Anyone planning on going to FOSCon? What about OSCamp? Of the people who will be there for one or more of these events, who'd like to get together for a BoF or other gathering?
