Geocoder.us looks useful, however it does pose some problems for me. I'm sure
there are resources elsewhere, but I'm not in America so anything that's
US-centric isn't going to work for me or anyone else in different parts of
the world.

Hosting could also be obtained at SourceForge or Savannah. For that
matter, I'd be glad to host small projects on the ldsoss.org website.
That said, while I think this project sounds interesting, I'm not
currently in a position to contribute any time to it. :-(
