Well, I've been playing with 2.2.19 kernels, and noticed something
interesting. When I compile on my RH 7.0 box (gcc 2.96) I get a kernel
that's a fair amount larger than the same kernel compiled on my Debian Slink
box (gcc 2.7.2.3).
gcc 2.96 compiled zImage size: 473320
gcc 2.7.2.3 compiled
*DOH* Of course, I'm not using gcc on RH to compile the kernel...it's
really:
egcs-2.91.66
egcs-2.91.66 compiled zImage size: 473320
gcc 2.7.2.3 compiled zImage size: 464668

Charles,
Have you tried the new gcc 3.0?

OK, I'm looking to compile the latest FreeS/WAN (V1.91), but to do so, I
need to compile the kernel as well. This isn't really a problem for me, but
the latest LRP based kernels I've got around are 2.2.16. I know that
several other folks have built 2.2.19 kernels for LRP, and in the interest

If you're talking about the offsets when applying the patches, these don't

see any patch files in the kernel tarballs

I received some notifications from a mail server (mail2.valinux.com)
that several of my messages to the list could not yet be delivered... ;
is there problems at SourceForge?
Everyone,
There was a problem with the SF mail servers this morning. Everything
