I gave myself a headache when I tried to clean up my .profile on my LRP
box today. I'm used to the ll='ls -l' alias from using redhat. I took
out some other aliases I didn't use, and ll stopped working, I'd just
get "ll: not found" when I typed ll at the command prompt.

Hello,
Ok I have been trying to make CIPE work with eigersteinbeta2 I have
tried 3 different cipe lrp packages and juest about every lrp kernel
version 2.2.16 I could get my hands on. Every single one of them throws
errors beyond config issues. I found on the CIPE website a comment about

Yeah, I know. How he makes money selling those escapes me. The key lies
in the fact that there is some soft of setup script that runs and asks
questions to help you set it up to your situation (according to the
freesco site).
However, freesco seems rather limited compared to the various LEAF/LRP

Hi again,
Never mind -- I got the zip drive to work; I was missing scsi_mod.o, and
now everything is dandy.
Thanks,

Hi!
I'm also having what is probably some pretty simple trouble getting
parallel zip support to work with the eigerstein+ide+ipsec from charles'
site. I think this is more solidly in the realm of simple conceptual
issues than anything else.
A recent howto suggests installing scsi.o, sd_mod.o
Hi,
I'm trying to use an ITAPI cdrom with the eigerstein+ide+ipsec kernel from
charles' site and getting some unappy results:
The kernel recognizes the drive, it tells me it's hdb (hda if I make it a
master... I've tried both).
I insmod cdrom.o, ide-cd.o, and isofs.o; ide-cd.o tells me it reco
Sorry for not responding sooner.
I'm not sure how much more info I can provide, but I'll tell you what I
know.
I tried the playing with the 'dhcp-client-identifier' settings to no avail.
Setting it to my hostname caused it to go into an extended retry mode that
eventually timed out.

Good point. I agree that it's *far* more likely
that seeing RFC-1918 addresses on your external interface
in a cable-modem setting is a problem with your neighbor's
PC settings than it is a legitimate attack.
What makes me reconsider that caveat in this
case, however, was the

hi all
my next question to seawall...
if I want to use the IPIP tunneling function of seawall, I guess I should
have to copy the ipip.o module on my disk and add it to /etc/modules? there
is also a gre.o module, when do I need which of them?
Thanks
greetings

I helped a friend put up a LEAF box, ESB2. I have a surfboard cable

both pulled our hair out with his modem. The final answer was to switch
to the latest version of the dhcpclient.lrp package.
One other problem that I had was
