I tried the e1000 module, but it did not work. This module did work on
other Dell machines with MT Pro 1000 gigabit lo profile nic.
Anybody have any ideas?

Did you use buildtool when you tried to compile the cpp program? It is
possible to compile cpp programs with buildtool. Take a look at:
