this will not be a router as there will only be one ethernet and as
this is behind the firewall and only accepts input from specific IP
addresses (it is used for outgoing mail only), no real security issues.

close to its monthly bandwidth allocation. It runs RedHat 6.1 at present
(due to some old database requirement), but is due for an update

I had the same problem and just set all the instances of eth0 to eth1 and
vice versa (in my case wvlan0 instead of eth1) and it appeared to work.

The card that is refrenced in the /etc/pcmcia/config file is the 3CCFE575CT
card. Is this different to your card?
If so you might try adding an entry for your card in the config file so that
it references the 3c575_cb module.
