As expected (by me at any rate) the only change is Austin in for TongeĀ
Kenny, Peltier, Lees, Pearce, Warnock, Green, Austin, Murphy, McCormack, Hunt,
Varney.
Subs Ashdown, Brown, Drury, White, Tonge, Poleon, Smith.
So no Hall or youngsters in the squad

I see that Austin has not only been recalled but has been made captain - not
sure yet if this is just for today or for the season (it may depend on whether
Brian gets his man as far as transfers in goes)
Also we will not know till it starts if Austin is a straight replacement for
Tonge or if
Rudi's. distribution not good enough.

Thought we started lively and showed promise then it all fell apart.
I don't think the formation is working and I would ask a few questions of the
manager.
Can't fault the effort but I never thought I'd say this we are missing Tonge.
Poleon has to come on. Hunt looks pedestrian at best and
Nowt to get excited about in the first half. We played the 40/20 ball to the
right cornerflag 80% of the time.
We need a decent midfielder to play the telling passes to the strikers. We
don't look owt special, then again we don't look totally clueless like last
year, either.

This is bloody awful from both teams ... Get Poleon and Smith on.

Poleon has made the difference, a lot more energy going forward.
Never seen a game with so few action replays.

A little nervy at times...wished Smith had been put into the game somewhat
earlierwill leave game reports to those closer to the action. Really
enjoyed the stream though.
Can't stand our away uniformmuch preferred the yellow and blue of
yesteryear.

Austin is a liability - a wall of muscle and steel perhaps, but badly
lacking skill or vision. Also, seems to incur a lot of bookings and
suspensions.
I'd get rid now instead of wasting resources trying to make him into
something he quite clearly isn't. Strong words perhaps, but he's poor.
Strange I thought he was our best player by a mile, Football eh?

As Mick McCarthy said BMD set Leeds up to neutralise Leicester and they did.

Well I thought it was a good solid performance. We stopped them playing, we
didn't carry any passengers and stopped them from playing. Austin man of

We've played two of the division's tipped teams and got 4 points, that'll
do for me.
I'm happy with all things Leeds at the

I also noticed that MM s\aid that Leeds were his
childhood team - which means he is a Leeds
supporter and still is. Obviously he has to
support the team he manages and must put them

I suppose One man's poison is another man's medicine.
If every team has to carry a luxury donkey, then Rudy must be ours (captaincy
and all)
I used to get the same feeling when Carlton Palmer was on the ball or
challenging somebody,
