It *was *a thoroughly excellent performance and a massive victory, but
let's face it.Sunderland were abject rubbish. Are they just
crap, or did we make them look bad? Given their previous results, you have
to think it was the latter.
That was the first time I've seen us play this
So our super striker is off. I say take the money and allow Burnley to
become the new Norwich re player pinching - not that anyone apart from Wood
himself has much say in the matter. Wood, for all his goals is a 6 yard box
type of striker - it's what he does and I thank him for that, but never
I think in him and Vieira we have the makings of a top class midfield, got to
remember how young they are. Cue them having a real stinker against Newport!

He was very good and we know he has the capability to put in performances like
this. If he did this every week I would eat my words although I do want him to
do really well.
I thought we played pretty well today although I don't think Sunderland are up
to much. They played like their crowd -
I thought he played okay, and certainly has one of the better engines in the
side. I thought Alioski and Saiz looked good going forward, while Ayling,
Jansson and Cooper were immense in defense.
My one concern is that our midfield and attacking players often seem to get
muscled off the ball
Is it just me or has Philips had a very good game?

Good stuff going forward. The Prisoner of Ekuban not quite Tony Yeboah, but
Saiz and Alioski both looking positive. Great goal from Saiz - very classy
finish. Thought Hernandez looked irrelevant, but Roofe also looking
lightweight. Slightly less confident when bringing it out of defence but
happy with that - good first half.
We look lively up front and in a way I think that is a result of the absence of
Wood because it is allowing Allioski and Siaz to run from midfield in a
different style of play.
Big sub though for us - Hernandez going off and Roofe on. He looks poor and he

I think we now need a marquee signing, a la Strachan/Vinnie. Two real up and

Good luck to Wood - I can't see the dollop making it, but

Yeah, the players have almost all the power now, it’s a brave rich owner who
will just let a player hang around in the stiffs rather than let him go – I
suspect Coutinho and Costa will both get the moves they want by the end of
