Can't verify any of that Rob, but I do know that one of my favourite chants of
all time came about at that time. If I remember it correctly, it was rumoured
that Tony was unsettled, and it was mainly due to his wife wanting to move back
to Sheffield. So in response to this news, as TC warmed up
TC was one of my favourite players too - especially around that time (late
70s)
My favourite memory of him was his first return to Bramall Lane as a Leeds
player in the 4-1 League Cup win over Sheff Utd. He ran the show that
night and we went mad when he scored against his old club (not sure but
stuffed by
Arsenal by a similar score at Highbury.
