Yes Tim you are correct I can turn larger diameters also the larger pitches that the legacy 4X gear gives.. the larger dia work is better held in a chuck. which screws on like it does on the 900s standard spindle. I haven't had that set up in a while I have not had the need for a large job since

Hi Cole, It's good to hear from you. You're right about the legacy being a great security blanket. You can do some amazing cuts with router bits that take some time to learn how to do properly on a lathe. For example the "Provincial Plunge" bit #3674 is a real pain to learn how to do right on
