Curt, To mount the gearset simply remove the drive gear from the carriage drive and the index gear from the spindle shaft. The stock gearset will slide off and replace this set over shafts. Replace drive gear of choice and 180 tooth index gear and its done. I'll take a picture tomorrow. It looks

Yes there is a single limit switch with contact buttons protruding from either side. Cant see how he mounted it but one could easily re-wire into two separate switches for opposing limits. I think the switch might be shown in one of the pics lying on bottom shelf. Sent from my Kindle Fire ___

Wow! I wish this gentleman had joined the group years ago! That is a neat set up! You said that your chain drive makes the carriages/pitch a 1/2" ,with your motor drive and the chain gears, combined you should be able to turn a fine /smooth spindle as good or better than any modern Legacy unit.
