The clamps should work ok remember your cutting pushing to the rails not away from them, you could always pop a couple of g clamps on the bottom rail to your job as well if you’re worried And yes post pics of any parts you don’t understand and we will work out what they are Bill From:

Bill I will find ,or make the bits that are missing, cam parts, tube spacer etc. The clamps do not seem to have very wide surface clamping area about 3/4" but will try them out . I have not found the templates for the dovetails either, but will ask the last owner when I see him next, some
