I'm so proud of you all pointing out the tiny detail, but no one pointed out
that one machine is shorter than the other two.
The leg diagonals where added later in the production. It made the unit stiffer
and less wobbly.
The controller box in question is one from the 2000. Very strange to
Tracy,Thanks. That's interesting - it has the elev controls, but no knee braces. You are most likely correct. His is an "improved" version of the 1500.Tim Krause will probably fill us in on the background info.By the way, is the person you sold it to a "member" of this Group? If not, try to
Hi Richard,
This is really nerdy stuff, but here it goes. Legacy on the model 200 came with
the option of a pen mandrel that screwed into the spindle. Then pen mandrel was
proprietary to the 200. So when they started offering the revo, they made a
change to the spindle that would be able to

I’m fairly sure these are all manual mills the only motors I see on them are
manual drive motors and the controllers that come with them. One controller I
have not seen might be one of the real early cnc upgrades, they used the
original drive motors and the leadscrews . but the other 2 are
Tracy,Did your 1500 have the "Floor Stand with Elevation Controls" option? (That's what Legacy called the two cranks w/acme thread rods to raise/lower the bed rails).I'm thinking that the knee braces may have been a component of that upgrade.Mac-Original Message-

I have a 1200 with the CNC upgrade and these three machines do not have any
of the components, that I can see, for the CNC upgrade. The red box on the
middle machine looks to be the motor control. It's very different from the
other two and something I have not seen on a LOM before.
I use to
Joe,I agree on all your points. 1. Trying to sell all 3 as a group - doubt it will work out for him. Other than a few members of this Group (you included) most folks may want to add ONE more Mill to their "collection" - not 3! Someone looking to buy their first one most certainly would not
Hey guys... some comments here... I don’t think they are true, CNC’s as there
are no servo motors on the Z and Y axis’s... cannot see the X axis or a servo
motor on the spindle/headstock ... is it possible that these are partial
CNC’s?... were they possibly set up to work on one controller
Hi Group,Wow! Here's a listing I've never seen before! THREE LOM's being listed as a group/lot for sale on eBay.If any Group member (or lurker) is interested, you better act fast. I have a feeling Joe Biuno (NY Joe) is already lining up a rental truck to drive to Illinois to get them. With
