Jeff & Tim,
Keep it up and I'm going to have to submit you guys the the National
Association to Prevent the Burning of Beautiful Wood (NA2PBBW).
You will be nominated for Special Recognition - and designated "Bronze Members"
(entry level).
A requisite for that designation is you will have to
Yeah its funny how that just grabs our attention right.

Yea, this was tiger maple too. I was splitting after work in the dark and I
could still see it. My “spidey sense” was working overtime and had to go back
over what I already split and pulled a few more out. Lol

When I was burning wood I pulled out lots of tiger stripe and saved them,
so mighty nice wood goes into the fire if
a guy doesn't watch for it.

Hey Jack,
Welcome and thanks for the input.
Yes the woodworking shows are an awesome place to find new tool, trying to
hit the market,
and tried and true tools and getting "show specialtys" lol.
that is where Bead Loc started I'm pretty sure, Inline Indjustries gets
most of his sales at shows too.
Yeah I'm going to pick his brain some more and go over to his shop
and play with Box joints. He said it's awesome, and will change the way we
do
box joints forever. I'm looking forward to that.

Interesting 樂 I am about 1 hour east of Hartford, CT
I have a small sawmill but cut mainly for my own outdoor projects. Although, I
eyeballed a piece of firewood yesterday while splitting that I just couldn’t
bring myself to burn. Too late for the sawmill as it was already cut short so I
Lol, I guess I will have to keep a chain mortiser on my wish list then.

Your comments reminded me of the Baltimore wood working show. I went every year
when I lived in Maryland. Shows don’t come to Louisiana— closes show is Houston
or Atlanta. If anyone can attend a show I highly recommend it. Good place to
see what’s new especially new tools created by individuals
There are videos out there where they are doing M on pieces that come
together at an angle - and maybe even at compound angles. You never know how
easy or difficult that is/can be until you get your own and do it yourself from
start to finish. Just like so many folks experienced with the LOMs
They were working on it - but realized that they'd only be able to sell it to
the likes of a "Paul Bunyan"-size customer and that it would have to be
connected to a Diesel generator the size of "Babe" to power it!
I think they have since reconsidered the whole idea and will most likely
relegate
I see just as I thought well never mind

Hey Bill see below:
You are correct, it’s a fixed z axis. Live x and y (2D)
Believe they start 1st in Baltimore then up to West Springfield, was told they
are only dong 6 shows for 2022 their communications have always been very poor
lucky if we get 2 weeks’ notice at the Club to prepare for the Show fortunately
we are affiliated with Woodcraft so they provide lathes
Hey Bill see below:
You are correct, it’s a fixed z axis. Live x and y (2D) doesn’t require
huge computing power to operate at high accuracy levels. If the Origin had
a live z axis the onboard computer wouldn’t be adequate for 3D work and it
would require the machine to be tethered to a remote
Thank you tim
