Greetings, I also tired of hand cranking my 900 and decided to add a
motor. I accomplish this my watching e-Bay and patiently waiting for the
right part at the right price, I put together a hand controller for
direction and override. Will submit pics soon. There was a good thread

Has anybody put motors on there legacy? Cranking sucks and have had my 1000
about 8 months. Any help would be great. Need to know kind of motor, where to
buy, installation process etc.

Gene, you probably would want to put Stepper motors on your machine,
however you would need to have controls and softare to manage your motors,
not to mention control software and a program to generate G-code. It is
more complicated than you would imagine.

Isn't there a mounting location on your machine already for a motor?
There's a lot
