I was thinking of mounting my drill press vice down to a table attached to the
lower rails with a piece of aluminum bar stock that I wanted to mill, lock the
x axis and use the y & z axis with a small 1/8" carbide

I have successfully used the legacy to mill aluminiumbut I defiantly would not
recommend it unless your an experienced metal machinist
