Same for me on the West Coast. Never heard anyone say "Grandaunt" and I
sure never used it myself.

Hi Beth,
There is no neat way to handle this.
You could choose to live with an extra spouse, adding notes to the
spouse to indicate she doesn't exist. It may help to call her
to help make this clear.
The other alternative is assign them to a particular partnership and
add notes to indicate t
Hi CJ,
You can't merge them and still have them separate.
You can link them both to the same people and then note that they may
be the same person (eg: they'll appear as siblings with a note that
they may be the same person - more untidy when the link is as a
spouse but still possible.)
I'd
I should have asked first:
Does help work in other applications under Windows?
Like your word processor, or Notepad, or ...?
If it does, then the problem is not in Windows.

Hi Carol,
Have you overlooked the Individual Report? Or are you also wanting to
get away from the Table with the vital records?
If so, try an Ancestor Report with 1 generation.

I believe I would copy both files to another name and keep them separate.
Back them up, also.
Make a new file, and import both family files in. Now you have three files,
two representing separate families and easy to work with, and one file

How do you handle this situation? I have one father, 2 known spouses, and

Hi, I just joined the group, and I was wondering if someone could
answer my question. I've only been using Legacy a couple of months.
I have a person in a family tree that I believe may be the same as a
person in another branch. Is there any way to merge these people, but

I am hoping some of you computer whizs out there can help me.
I have not been able to access the help files in almost two months.

all the legacy files are where they belong. I have tried everything I
can with Legacy itself.

Hi Jack,
I have, but very, very rarely, heard the term Granduncle/aunt used in

the term I use. I have never, though, heard the term Great-Granduncle/aunt.
Although Granduncle is in the dictionary as an alternative to Gr

Jack,
"Granduncle" and "Grandaunt" are not terms I've heard used in the US. So I'm
not sure where they come from. Like the UK I've only heard "Great Uncle" and
"Great Aunt" in areas I've lived in the US.

Many thanks to those providing suggestions on how to do this. It shows the

Combining the suggestions plus my input gives the following procedure, which

Hi John,
If I am understanding correctly you have made the list which you wish to
print but have not found a way of printing labels for the list.
If this is the case I think you will need a word processor. From the the
print facility on the list page there is the option of printing csv files.
