Is there a way to search for a male named Joseph who has a mother
named Mary for example? I have over 300 Joseph's here and it seems
to take forever to look through all the tagged Joseph's at his
parents. There must be some search technique that I have over looked.

>From the 'Search' menu select 'Find' and just using the primary condition
look for an individual with the given name of Joseph. Create the list
(button at the bottom).
>From the 'Search List' window select 'Print' at the bottom. In the 'Row 1'
tab select all the fields you want

way that is needed here.

I know this doesn't help you much, but I just checked my Legacy database
with "Family Group Sheets" web pages, and they were created without any
errors. This would, at least, eliminate the possibility of a "bug" in
the program. I did a quick search with Google for error codes 3201 and
Bob, I have found the same as yourself and like you the solutions I would
have tried have been tested by Byron. I can only add that it may be
worthwhile trying deleting the saved web setting files and reinstalling
Legacy.
Personally I don't favour reusing RINs as doing so makes life pretty

1:Where is the best place to put Birth, Death and Marriage
Certificates - I have some under photos and some under sources at the

I'm trying to generate various descendant narrative reports in
RTF with title page and index but keep getting {xe " ... name ... "} after each
name. When I generate the same dnr report without a title page or index, no
problem. Legacy never used to do this. Is there some bug or setting I have
Noelene, are you using the latest version of Legacy (110) as I seem to
remember that there was a problem with one version but this has now been
corrected. Not entirely certain of this but someone may remember. In any
event it works OK for me.

Actually, tagging all Joseph's and including the mother, then
exporting to a CSV file worked quite well. I have about 30 matching
pairs and I found the person I was looking for.
I'm happy with the results..

All that is different is that you have View hidden text on in your
Word Processor and previously you didn't. You're seeing the codes
that Legacy uses to generate the index in your word processor.
Legacy has always done this - otherwise you wouldn't be able to

Where you attach images of BDM Certificates is your choice.
You might want to run some test reports or web pages to see how they
look - if you are wanting them to appear. I think you'll find they're
not readable on reports wherever you attach them - not sure about web pages.
Thanks Ron Ferguson and Cathy. Looked up my copy
of the "Idiot's Guide to Word 2000" and worked out how to change back my
formatting view of codes, and downloaded the latest version of Legacy 6.0.0.110.
Had the previous one, 108. Generated another report and it works. Thanks
heaps.
