Hi Art,
He's not there as he's not a descendant of your ancestors.
However, if you see him as a son, then add you and your wife as 2nd
parents so he's attached to both your wife's marriages.
Do this by clicking on the Parent icon when he is in the main
position on Family View or right click
Thank you! It will be much appreciated when it appears!
Cheers,
Jan

Cathy,
Thank you for your answer to Art Seddon about linking step-children, who we
considered full children to us. I have tried for several years to figure out
how to do this.
My (step) daughter now shows up on my charts. The only difference I would
like to see is some way to have
Norman,
There is no way to change the font size when you generate the web pages, but
there *is* a way to change the font size in IE. Go to View Text Size and
select the font size you wish.
Not all web pages will behave appropriately with this option, however,
unless you go into Tools
Norman:
What browser are you using? GO to the VIEW menu option. There should
be a link to Increase/Decrease tex/font size.

I switched from FTM to Legacy after reading the list of features on their
web site and because a couple of CGs I respect use it. I haven't been happy
with FTM since their latest upgrade.
Do you have any suggestions on making the switch less traumatic? I noticed
that there were some errors
Thank you to Sherry, Steven Ron for responding to my query. I did know
about being able to increase my font size in IE. The main reason I was
asking the question is that the published pages may be read by someone who
doesn’t know about this. Also my IE font size is set to medium and if I
Norman,
My IE is set to normal as well; changing from 96dpi to 120dpi will solve
your problem - at least it has for me and my web pages are fine when viewed
on a computer set at 96dpi. Nor does it cause any other problems with other
web sites which I view or other software, including graphics
Is there an address book where you can add information? I rec'd an email
from a person who gave me valuable information about one of my ancestors
but she isn't in anyway related to the family. I couldn't seem to find
any. I'm using Legacy Deluxe v6.

Nancy,
You could include her as a source. I use a master source called email which
I use in similar circumstances and then place the approriate information in
the details.

Maybe you can make a note in your introduction on the main page on how to

Hi Nancy,
You can add Addresses that aren't attached to an individual in Legacy.
Click on View / Master Lists / Address Lists / Mailing...
Next, click on the Add button to the right.
This will give you a new entry. The name field might be populated with the
previous highlighted person.
No. I don't think everything should be in Legacy. I'd like to see it revert to it's core mission as a genealogy program without all the recent bloat. (The Legacy Home tab comes to mind.)

I for one like the recent bloat and I am grateful to Legacy for it.

Chuck,
You can choose to add the word Stepdaughter to your child status
list, then show Child Status in reports. Go to view the Children's
List for your family view. Highlight your step daughter. Click on the
blue down arrow for Child Status, Click on Add.
Hope this approaches what you are
Perfect!
