I loved using angle brackets to flag locations or any other information that
I was unsure about--until uploading my GEDCOM to RootsWeb. Then I
discovered that their system deletes anything between angle brackets.

Hi Glenna,
Another thing to check if following Ron's directions don't get there for you.
On the screen to Tag descendants is a box for the number of
generations to include. This may be set too low.
Cheers,
Cathy

I don't think there is. As far as I know you will have to search each of the

Hi Glenna,
The way you are doing this seems to be correct (but I am a Little puzzled by
your comment "to where I wanted"), nevertheless allow me to go through it
step by step.
1. On Family View Right click on the 3 tag boxes above the name of the
eldest ancestor.
2. Click Clear all tags
3.
Hi Ron,
I Went to the eldest ancestor and tag all the descendants to where I wanted
I received that with their children but not grandchildren? If you get what I
mean. I still very new with this so maybe I will have to go and study the
video training or something as I really would like to still with
Glenna,
How are you trying to tag them? If you go to the eldest ancestor and tag all
descendants then the children should be included. If they, or some of them,
are not it would suggest the the child/parents links have been broken during
the merge and may need reattaching.

When I say questionable, I mean that I don't know where something happened.
For example, I think a person was born in either MS or AL but I don't know
which one (conflicting census records)
I am not sure the correct way to write MS or AL without messing up the
search feature.

Hi Michele, when I have a location that is questionable the first thing that

I am sure you will get several answers to this, but to be on the safe

I have one more questions about location...
I have had no problems with the county verifier when I enter locations as

So obviously the program is recognizing what I am putting in there.
I prefer to put Co in there so that people w
