Still waiting for my password, but let me ask - how is this Legacy Charting
Pre-Release different from my Legacy Charting Companion? Is this new release
an update to what I already have? Confused a wee bit.

With Legacy you are basically correct. Other systems may loosen the wording,
but the concept is still the same. In some ways, Legacy seems very moral in
its approach, but basically it relates to the setting up of the database and
the words used.

Pat,
I take it that you are using the Descendant Chart. This report will not produce
the General and Research Notes but will do all the rest, and I have just
checked mine and had no problems. I cannot understand why you got the message

Valerie,
There are only two possibilities: show him as the son of Andrew with a note to
say he might not be; or enter him as an unlinked individual with a note to say
he is the nephew of "x". I suppose there is a third - don't enter him at all,
though I do one of the first two.

Surely people are one or the other and it is quite important to know the
difference. The difference, in terms of your research work, is that if they

The source citations that your reports should carry their own weight. Even
if you do not plan to publish in a formal way, and your family doesn't care
about the citations.
Remember that your work will only last as long as the citations warrant.
