I wrote the following before stopping for supper and didn't send it
until just now. I have now looked at the file and find it has sorted
itself out BY ITSELF. This is what appeared to happen to my own file a
few days ago. Is it possible that Legacy can solve it's own problems?!

Anne,
Basically, you cannot.
But what are you trying to say? Was she cremated at St Mary's Church Cemetery,
or was she cremated elsewhere and the ashes scattered in the cemetery? In other
words is the information correct?
My point being that saying "..remains were placed..." doesn't actual
Anne,
I would suggest using burial rather than cremation. Most cremations were
handled by the undertaker at the funeral home, and then the remains (the
ashes) were buried in the cemetery. You could use Cremation but leave the
date and place fields blank unless you knew where and when the cremation
You can also use the repeat button - it fills in whatever you had in each of
the entries AND if you have already sourced it will copy that as well.

Scott, on the lower left side of the event window, just below the "help"

Yes, to all . . . it suddenly appeared, not any updates, I think I am

Ron, I agree that the solution presented was appropriate for *her*
situation, which is why I said. "When talking about only a few then the
modified date is probably practical. If her issue had been hundreds out of a
database of thousands, one of the other options might be a better choice."

Momalot,
I saw where another person in this group had advised that you uninstall and
reinstall Legacy. I agree. However, just curious - did this problem suddenly
appear, or did it happen after you made changes to to Legacy, changes your

I would uninstall and then re-install.
The CPU usage is not a particularly good guide in this instance. BTW it should
be working at 100% when it's busy. It can be a good guide when other processes
are running to see which is hogging the usage.
