Uneducated me!!! What is a "pen" drive? Like a USB? . . . and I wouldn't
mind if someone could email me the exact steps on how and where to change the

Are you looking at the file locally or after uploading it to the web host?
Also, did you delete ALL of the old files from your computer and /or web

I know you have apparently got things back by restoring from a backlup, but
just curious if you had been playing around with a program such as IrfanView
which can do batch renames. I agree with Ron that files don't just magically
get renamed without some human input (viruses, etc excepted). It w
I have tried to remove a person's name from my family tree information.
After I go through all the steps, the name in the legacy program has been
removed from all instances. Then I "create a web page". Then, when I use
the "browser" button in the task bar, the browser display shows no instance

Hi Elizabeth, the only reason that I use the + sign for is to enter Death

The address feature in there doesn't make a lot of sense to me so I don't use
it.
The reply that was sent to you by Dennis will locate the cemeteries for you
providing you have entered the name of the cemetery in
Becky,
Here is the advice from Brian in Legacy Support:
If you want to submit a suggestion that the family view use direct
relationships where possible we are happy to consider suggestions for new

In Legacy 6.0 and 7.0 you can suggest a new feature by clicking on the link

Elizabeth,
You may think this sounds stupid - but I assure you it ain't! Use Search to
select the ones you want and tag them. Then go to Reports>All Reports>Name Tags
which can be formatted to produce a report style output and select the ones
which you have tagged.

The problem is that I am finding the cemetery names are in the place
beside the burial information that is marked with a plus - then you get
burial address. Is there anyway to print these so that I can put them
in the burial information box itself? I do not want to go through a

Hi,
it's not possible to do it in Legacy at the moment. But you can do it via MS
Access but there are some limitations in the process. For more information

I haven't tested this by myself.

I'm a new user of Legacy 7, so perhaps I'm missing something obvious. I can't
figure out how to properly enter same-sex couples. I could add a new entry to
the "status" list in the Marriage Information Window, but is there some
relatively standard way of doing this?

Have you tried clearing/cleaning out the various memory tools such as

You may like to try File>File Maintenance>Master Lists Clean-up. I would tick

We seem to do a lot of complaining about Legacy so I thought I would
say thank you for a new feature that I really appreciate.
Good idea! Only I'd find it hard to pick on just one feature: I just
love Legacy being so much superior to FTM, which a family member uses!

Lucy,
On the menu bar:
Go to Options>Customize>General Tab and look down in the lower left hand
corner. Tick the box "Enable Tagging" and you should see your three tag
boxes on the family view. This is where you can also change the tag numbers
that are being shown by clicking on "Tags to Show
