[LegacyUG] citing census sources

2009-06-07 Thread paula.ryburn
I know this topic has been discussed "to death" but I don't remember the answer to one question. For some of my census data I have the actual images/pictures (.jpg files), and for the rest I just have text of the listings. I'm pretty sure that if I attach the pictures at the detail level, they

[LegacyUG] printing addresses--redundant info

2009-06-07 Thread Paula Ryburn
I am using my address list to enter the cemeteries (burials), hospitals (births) and churches (weddings). In most cases for the cemeteries & hospitals, I enter the cemetery name, town & state. When they print in a book report (e.g. Ancestor), there is some redundancy, which I can almost live

[LegacyUG] printed charts from Legacy Charting

I agreed to make a 7 generation drop down descendant chart for a cousin. It turns out to be 137 individuals. The finished chart is 9 ft by 24". The price quoted within the Legacy Charting program is $18.00 for 20# bond paper, or $54.00 for the presentation grade paper. This seems rather inex

I use the old MLA sourcing technique of putting a reference to the source in brackets at the end of the paragraph or sentence. For example, if the source is "Early Fairchilds in America" by Jean Fairchild Gilmore, at the end of the section, I'd enter [Gilmore] and then source my book in the Notes

Nina, I'm very unsure as to where you might think there is a bug, but to concentrate on one thing at once. You ask about the order of pictures in a book, but I would suggest that is the wrong question. All your pictures (unless you are referring to a scrapbook) are attached to an Individual
