[LegacyUG] Sorting children

Is there a simple way to sort the list of children of a couple? I found another son, who was born first beforew the other children, and would like him to appear first in the listing, but don't want to bother to move them all around using the order function. Is there not a simple sort by

Jane, When the children show up in the Family view (with parents above), right click on any of the children and select children settings, then when the dialog opens with the children of the couple, select Sort and the children will be sorted by birth order. Hope this helps John Valencic On

Can someone please tell me why (in all my narrative reports) I have a sentence which says Another name for Mary was Mary Wells which gives her with her married name. Any bonehead can tell that what her married name will be. What have i done to get that silly statement in my descendant

On the Marriage Information form you can select the option 0 - None - don't generate married names or uncheck the Alternate given and surname option on the Report Options Include Tab (if you choose this option you will not get any Alternate name in the report). Evert 2009/7/6 Jane Sarles

Heather, You might try entering an address as a location (master listslocations) and another one as an address (on a vital event), use them on some close relations, then run a short (3-generation?) report to see how the information prints.  Click on and off the various include and other report
