Hi Ralf,
I transcribe exactly as the census shows and, if needed for clarity,
add editorial brackets as you do. I don't end up with so many semi
colons so you must be transcribing censuses with more columns than
the ones I transcribe.
If you don't transcribe exactly, it's not a transcription
itorial brackets may not be exactly proper,
but I like to flag my own additions and comments so I use them anyway.
