Mark, I'm sure there will be some other people on this list who will tell you about the desirability or otherwise of putting details of living people on the 'net, so I won't even go there. However, if the only details you want to put on FaceBook for living people is their name, all you need to do

I want to upload a gedcom to my FaceBook profile. In so doing, I want to include living people (after all, connecting with living people is the whole point of FaceBook), but I don't want to include dates of birth for them. In contrast, I do want to include dates for people who are no longer livin
