Thank you, Brian. I think I may be doing that. I'll start paying
attention.
Thank you so much!

Marie,
That error may sometimes happen if your mouse is accidentally sending a
double click instead of a single click to the program. The cannot
display modally error will appear when you try to open the same screen
twice.

Good Morning,
I'm using Legacy Deluxe version 7.0.0.55 with Vista.
After working for a period of time, Run Time Error 405 appears. It says "Run
time error 405. Unable to show modal form within this context."
Legacy's site says error 402 or 405 have to do with a screen appearing off to

I presume you are running either Win 98 or ME. This is a windows bug, not a
Legacy error.
See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=184200.
In trying to source many Census Events - I keep getting "Run time error
'405'" " Unable to show modal form within this context" - and the program
closes. I can restart and all seems OK - but it seems to happen about 4-5
times per hour! Ideas??
Thanks

Janis,
The window is opening off the screen.
With Legacy closed, go to the Legacy folder on the hard drive. Delete the
Legacy2.usr file and then go back into Legacy. That should fix the
problem.
