I'm interested in the IntelliShare feature of version 6.0. I click on
the Merge icon, then Find Duplicates/Continue/Special Duplicate
Searches, then Use IntelliShare. How do I tell the program which Legacy
file to compare with the Keeper's copy? I'm not given that opportunity

I have some questions regarding using Access with Legacy. (I know just
enough to be dangerous.)
First, Where is Dennis Kowallek? He was very helpful in the past.
I wrote a query to find contents of Photo Albums. It works quite well with
photos. I found a couple in tiff format and a marriage doc
A vague subject line also makes it likely that many other listers will
delete your question without even reading it. People are very busy and
need some clue that the thread has a chance of either being helpful to
you or is a question you can answer.

That way we can all read it, and discussions won't

Dave, How do you automate the backups? I have a thumb drive, that I
actually have a copy of the program on (that way I can run the program
on someone else's computer). Then I put the latest zip backup on it. I
know a little bit about auto-run batch files, but not much.

Dave,
I did cut down my description a bit - we're almost identical in process
except I do it manually. My programming isn't up to much, so I haven't tried
to set up a batch process.
However I do keep my multimedia files on the USB drive as well and backup
these in the same way as the fdb and zip
In Dick Eastman's weekly newsletter (www.eogn.com) sometime around
March or April I think. Go to the link and do a search for it.
Apparently I didn't keep the newsletter.

It does it in the background and does not cost much overhead. So far

Make sure you use at least WinZip v9.0 and a strong encryption key.

I'm doing much the same as William Anderson mentioned, but thought
readers may be interested in how I've automated the backup
procedures.
