You have to direct an installation to the parent of the place you wish them

Thanks to all who have pointed me in the right direction. I did end up
moving my data; uninstalling Legacy 7; deleting the old Legacy (wasn't on
the add/remove list); reinstalling Legacy 7; pointing Legacy 7 to store the
data where I wanted it (Options | Location).
