I've never seen that file before but checking, I've got similar for
Legacy and lots of other programs. Googling I discover they're trace
files that speed up the loading of the program and should be left
alone. However, they're not cr
Cathy - I've just done the search and find, apart from the two copies of
Legacy.exe I mentioned in my last email, one called:
file:///C:/WINDOWS/Prefetch/LEGACY.EXE-364C9D87.pf dated yesterday
evening. Do you know what this is? Presumably I should delete this too?

The To Dos are not stored in usr files. Only settings are in the usr
files. All data is in the .xxx files and all vital data
is in .fdb. The other .xxx carry specific
clipboards and then the IGI and RGD search data.
Check that you are not working with different files - same nam

I just came across this today and realized something. If I restore a backup
file I lose those 1/2 siblings settings and have to reset my view. I suppose
backups don't save personal settings (Cathy seems to indicate this)

I thought I had solved my problem yesterday by uninstalling and
reinstalling Legacy and my old .usr file from another source but it
doesn't come up and seems to be using the one I thought I had deleted.

That's my problem - I thought that was how to restore it but when I
right-clicked on the children, the option wasn't there. I then went
back to a family where I know there are lots of half-siblings to try
there and still, the option doesn't appear. I'm using version 6.0.0.190.

Hi Elizabeth,
Perhaps just being pedantic but you don't tick a box to turn on View 1/2 kids.
Right click on children in Family View and choose from the menu.
These view settings are held in .usr files, not with your data.
The database only holds your data and any choices that only affect
that
