Another setting that may be inadvertently left on is the Only Search
in the Search List.

I just did a simple Detailed Search with version 6.0.0.189 and it
worked fine. (indiv. with name equal to Thomas) I thought it was
the latest version - but I see on the home tabe there is a
6.0.0.190. Which version are you using?

It may just be that after all your changes the files etc have become a liitle
corrupted. Have you tried FileFile Maintenance and run each of the options
available? If not may be worth a try.
