I've never used event addresses, for my locations I've generally added
all the cemeteries, hospitals etc into the location field, as I never
worry about segmenting my locations with 4 or 5 sections. I'll have a
play with these suggestions and see what will work with my methods
now. Thanks for
Tracy,
I have an event address for each cemetery (+ next to burial Location).
In this address I put the GPS coordinates for the cemetery in line 2
of the address. I do this so the coordinates will print on reports. If
I cannot go to the cemetery I find it on Google Earth and the
coordinates show
I just dealt with this issue by putting the coordinates of the cemetery in
Coordinates field at the bottom of the Burial Address input screen. I put
the coordinates of each gravestone in the Notes portion of the Burial PLUS
SIGN data.
Hope that's clear.

I felt compelled to point out something. I bought my GPS device with
the intent of getting a location for each and every individual grave.
The girl told me my device was accurate down to FOUR centimeters.
(For us none-metric users, four centimeters is about 1.5748 inches.
Not much at all.) So,
Which of these you mention do you think is the best or easiest to learn how to
use it. I'd like to be able to use it for cemeteries and grave locations.
Thanks,
Syble

have a menu that can give the actual lat/long coordinates in addition to
providing the map display. I've used 4 different GPS units and each

I use Pocket Genealogist on my windows Mobile Phone along with a after
market GPS unit. Works like a charm. I don't know anything about the new
cellphones with GPS capacity.
