Which version of FTM? Legacy 6 may need custom import setting to get the correct note spacing if let Legacy decide default does not work. Legacy users often make many changes before looking at the note spacing after a GEDCOM import -- could be a broken word in each line of notes. Legacy 6 was

There is a problem with the FTM PLAC tag. When you convert the file to Legacy you need to let it know if it is a place or a description. FTM allows both in the same field. Ex. St. Mark's Church, Anytown, Any Co. Any state. That is a description and place but it is all listed as a place in FTM.
