combination of location, document type and an increasing number to
identify all documents. This allows me to use the same document for
multiple people. Paper copies of the same documents are labeled with

For census document scans, I put all of these in a folder called "census"
and I name the document the name of the head of household his birthdate and

I like what you do, up to a point. You have to remember that the
RIN#s for folks can change when you do file maintenance, rebuild from
a backup, etc so they are really not safe to use as a permanent
reference. The good news is that Legacy allows you to copy the RIN#s
into the ID field a
