Yes there sure is, just right click in the birth, death name label area and
then click on the three ... area to select a new field to show.

Sure! go to the Individual Information screen, look at the icons
displayed. One of them should resemble a notepad. Click on that.
You are taken to a new window with three tabs, General, Research, and
Medical. Click on the Medical tab. There is a cause of death field
there. There you go.

field to specify the cause of death for the person. Many sources include

Right click over the labels and select the ... button next to Cause of
Death. Either select a different field to display or choose the firs
option, which is "blank - display nothing."
