I'm having problem with disappearing text within a master source that is
created using the Source Writer option in Legacy 7. Any text that I type into
the master source text box can be viewed under assigned sources screen under
output master Text for a person, yet when I click on edit source and
I do have Legacy on my Netbook and it works well - although I keep the main
copy on the laptop. I use the netbook for when I can sit with it on my lap
at night and fiddle gently - the only thing to remember is to make changes
on both if necessary.

I have just been having this problem with the same messages as you. I have
networking between two computers and found that sharing Legacy between the two
was not turned on, not sure why, but once I re enabled the sharing, the problem
disappeared.
May not be the same problem, just a tho
Though an interesting discussion - this has always been possible with
any WIN product. Just resize the windows and drag to where you want.
I often run with 2 or even 3 windows at once! I understand the new
WIN7 does the snap to 1/2 thing - but it has never been that tough.

Windows 7 users.
There is a feature in Windows 7 that makes it even simpler. Just open
the two windows you want side by side, say Firefox (Or IE) and Legacy.
Then take the top bar of one of the windows and drag it to the left,
off the screen. When you release the mouse, the window will pop to
fill

I believe the Legacy folks say that turning off UAC creates a problem for some
(but not all) people under Vista.

You can also purchase a separate monitor and then have two 'full screens'
running off the same computer. For this I use Internet Explorer with my
Ancestry.com account up and running, then on the same computer I start up
Mozilla Firefox and use that for other searches on a separate screen

Genius! That worked. Worth noting that the printer was working with all
other programs, but a reinstall of the driver downloaded from the

Have you tried updating and/or reinstalling the printer driver for
your default printer?
I think Legacy should detect whatever you have as the defalt printer.
