The advantage of typing them is for the content to show up in Reports. If I type out an obit (and it's not that hard) it becomes part of a report for that person. What's the point otherwise? Printing photos of source documents in the Legacy reports, where that's an option, will give you a small

Jan, Your PDF result is expected and the Word/Office 2007 result is not unexpected, although I believe I have heard that some versions of Word may allow images (I am unsure as I do not use Word). I know OpenOffice.org doesn't, only the place saver is there. Ron Ferguson
