I'd like to apologise to Ann especially, and to all generally for accidentally
hijacking her thread. It was not my intention. I acted in haste and ignoranvce
and I have learned a valuable lesson. My thanks to Ron for pointing out my

Ron,
I am in your debt forever! I pressed the reset button and all is back
as it should be.
The Geek Squad are the computer repair persons (need to be
politically correct) that work at a chain of electronic stores. I was

All of my family files are .fbk and I no longer have family tree maker

to gedcoms. Does anybody on here have an older version of family tree that
could convert my file for me?
Thanks

I'd suggest that you post your plea on Ancestry's Family Tree Maker forum

I used to have a copy of FTM on my computer that I used to do exactly
what is needed here. I no longer do. But when I did, I found the folks
on genealogy.com's FTM forums doing a lot of this type of thing.
Genealogy.com is, of course, owned by Ancestry.com. Those
Thank you Ron, Mike, et al for your quick response. The answer I was looking for
was the Options, Customize, Locations portal. I wasn't aware of it. So I will
have to see what will be involved in changing the pointers. I will look at it
tomorrow.
