Dear Jenny,
Thanks for the tip about the privacy brackets. I shall try it out.
The reason I am reluctant to include specific addresses in the Master Location

I for one am really tired of all the email on this subject and other subjects

That's a great idea, Kathy! Have you submitted that to Legacy as a
suggestion for enhancements? Are you going to the conference at BYU
tomorrow? I'm still on the fence about it...maybe I'll just go to the
Legacy Rootsmagic presentations in the evenings.

Okay, thanks, Jenny. I knew about the clipboard, but wanted to be sure there
wasn't some other neat little trick that I just didn't know yet.
Cheers!

Haven't planned on going to the conference but still may!
Besides Legacy I use Reunion for the Mac and their program checks the
spelling as you type it - - then I don't have to go back and check it all again
like you do in Legacy.

Sherry,
Thanks for your response. I don't have a problem understanding how to develop
a search string using the fields in square brackets. My problem is there
aren’t any fields in square brackets that are place fields. Here is a search
string from Ancestry.com I would like to use.
I was using the Picture Center to remove attached pictures and found that
the change did not 'stick'. The picture was removed from the display of
attached pictures (box in the lower centre), but when I selected another
individual and then went back to the first individual the picture was back.
I just noticed that the Tag Descriptions for my Marriage Tags are gone.
When I hover my curser over the Tag the Description still shows, but when I
right click on the Tags there is NO Description. The Individual Tags
Descriptions are all there, no problem. Is there another place I should be
Feel free to edit the search strings however you'd like. They're not
