After reading over the tagging feature in Legacy, it seems that is
intent is to help assemble groups of people for generating lists
and/or reports. It does mention that the tags could be named if you
wish, but no examples of why one might want to do so. I wondering in
what ways others have found
If all you want to do is see an individual and all associated events
on one screen, then perhaps bringing up the source citation window
will be of help. I believe the intent of the screen is for you to
determine what has and has not been sourced, but you get to see all
events and vitals for an
Ludie,
I never have any Marriage Events show up because I do not use them, except for
the basic Marriage Date and Place. I use only Person Events. As is often
discussed with other issues, that is part of the flexibility of Legacy; I know
others use them, sometimes for anything that occurs
Have you looked at the Detailed Search option? It will, for example, give you
a list of people whose Child Status is marked as Twin which you can then Print
or save as a CSV or PDF file. And, if you know which fields you have used to
enter the other attributes, this feature will also give

Laird,
Of course it does. If you have made no alteration then the Cancel Button
should be used.

From Microsoft...
The Close button on the title bar should have the same effect as the
Cancel or Close button within the dialog box. Never give it the same
effect as OK.

Sherry,
Is this also in your bug tracking system? I looked on the Legacy web site under
Help CenterSitemap for a bug list. Is there a place we can check for bugs in
your tracking system so as to not waste people time and download bandwidth with
problem verification? (Such as this one).

Legacy version 7.4.0.45, Windows Vista 64 bit.
Do this:
1. Open/run a file browser i.e. Windows Explorer.
2. Browse to the location of your Legacy family database and note the date/time
it was modified, NOT the created date.
Dennis,
I am open to correction, but I do not think it possible for Legacy to
differentiate between Close and Cancel in the context of this operation.

The problem with not doing an automatic save is when a new person uses
Legacy and does hours of work entering and editing his family data.
Then he clicks X. Imagine the uproar Millennia would receive if he
lost all that work. No, they will not make backups, no matter how much
we veterans plead

I call them ghost marriages. About six months ago there was a lot of discussion
about this. It was blamed on one of the updates (whether accurate doesn't
matter now). What I did was go to the marriages list. You need to do the same
thing for the husbands column, then the wifes. For each double
