To keep the error from showing she can create a new place of ,Norfolk County,,Massachusetts Bay Colony and in the notes for that location put the date range 1643-1680 and set that person to use that location. You should probably report that as a bug. I got around the error message by using Norfolk County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. The USA County Verifier is correct. Norfolk County did not exist in the **state** of Massachusetts until 1793. But one existed in the **colony** from 1643-1679/80. Terri ---
