I've forgotten how to do that on Legacy. Of course I have backups in case I
mess up, but I want to delete me and all my kin from the main file...
I actually unlinked me from my spouse and then I went up to Search,
entering my name, and tried to create a focus group, bringing up an
ancestral list

I had also just created a chart where I wanted to annotate certain
individuals. I could not find a way to edit the automatically-created boxes.
I chose to add my own text box just below the individual's automatic box,
and then highlight/differentiate my text boxes using background colors,
bolding,
We had a similar experience during a recent Legacy group meeting. Our
group leader had just installed the latest Legacy update, before the
meeting, and he had a really funky looking window. Some items
appeared larger then they should be. For example, the right side of
the Home View screen was
Hi,
Does anyone have suggestions about how to coordinate with my family
organization? I need to go through and match all my ancestors to
new.familysearch.org.
I am thinking that I just need to:
1. give them a copy of my gedcom file,
2. have them buy Legacy,
3. give them my login to
Mike, I want to remove everyone that is connected to me, other than my
spouse, whose line I have broken...but I can add that back into his line
easily...
I have my own records that are up to date in another fileall my line is
just extra baggage with 5000 records and I'd rather just remove
I looked Webtree up. Looks interesting. However, I need to use the
Legacy Family Tree tool to match my data with new.familysearch.org.

You need to decide what is most important ... collaboration or
familysearch. I am
Larry,
Why don't you look into Drop Box? If everyone has the same version of
Legacy and always hooks up to an internet connection when turning on their
computer, everyone would have the same data file on their computer. If
there was a problem, you'd see it.

Barbara,
If all you want is just your spouse's line in the file then just unlink your
self from your spouse. Then create a new empty legacy file, then open a
split screen window, when it asks if you want to open another file in the
new window then pick the file that you just unlinked your self in.
Cathy,
How does Drop Box handle the simultaneous use of the same file by more
than one user? If two or more are using the file at the same time to
make changes will both sets of changes be in the file after they quit
and their amended files are uploaded to Drop Box?
This is a big issue with
Windows 7 does this for some programs that aren't exactly compatible. Some
items aren't fully accessible so the screen resolution settings have to be
adjusted.

Our group leader has been using this same OS with previous versions of
Legacy without any problems. The problem cropped up only with the latest
update. We tried various options settings to no avail. No matter what we
tried, we could not change the screen view. We finally abandoned our
efforts
Russ...I appreciate your help very muchI would have done the drop and
drag but I have some unconnected people with my husband's lines in a
one'name study that I did...a number of unconnected trees...so that's why I
was just trying to get rid of my family on his file. I have alread unlinked
Has anyone else noticed that since the latest update(I believe), on the
'Family' tab, the marriage information 'Picture' icon is active, as though
there is a picture attached?
This is for everyone in my database.
Thanks,
Dave (NZ).

I had over 100 linked TIFF files each of which I recently deleted *
replaced* with a jpeg (of the same picture).
In most cases there was no problem, but in 5 cases (each, as it happens,
relating to an Event/Fact), Legacy’s “test of all multimedia paths” is still
listing those 5 TIFFs as
