Suzanne,
LTools does not recognise Source Writer Sources.
The same enquiry was made within the past month, so I suggest that you look in
the archives for “Sources” or “Copy Sources”and also the help files for “Source
Clipboard” and “Event Clipboard”.
Basically you need to use the blue arrow to
Can you just edit the sources, adding the transcription into Text of

I'm having a very frustrating time trying to update my census record sources. I
have one master source for each census, and use detail entries for the
individual census pages. I want to have a transcription of the family related
text and a photo of the census page in each of these areas. Is ther

I remember when I had a 30GB hard-drive. I couldn't see past my nose and
made some really bad choices like making some photos smaller to save space.
1.47GB left on your computer means you're already past the point where
you could even defrag it. You don't have enough room to turn around in

Since you do know who your biological father was, I would definitely make a
relationship between your mother and he (mark them as “this couple did not
marry”) and then attach yourself to them. Your last name won’t match your
biological father but that is okay. You can also attach yourself to y
Thank you all for your kind assistance in helping me to resolve my quandary.
I believe however that my quandary requires further clarification.
I know the name of the man who sired me.
He was neither father nor parent to me, that relationship was strictly
biological.
The man who was both parent an
Most, if not all states take the man's word as accurate, because the state
needs somone to pay child support for any 'abandoned' children. Money talks.

Larry, you asked, " Legally does the listing of a Father on the Birth
Certificate indicate proof of fact as to the sire? I don't think so. Does
anyone know if this is true?" Believe it or not, it depends on the state.
You will need to dig into the state laws of the state you were born in. S
Many thanks for the information. I was able to wend my way to one of the
Webinars from April 11 that I had missed. Legacy so graciously placed it on
indefinite view at:

I was following those instructions to the T. Even my finance walked
through the steps with me and agreed that I was not missing anything
along the way. I tried both by WiFi and by USB. I finally shut it off
and went to bed. Started it back up this morning and it synced just fine.

Bob,
Families is an add-on program which runs on iPad, iPhone and the Android
o/s. It does not have, therefore, the same format as Legacy. It does,
however, sync with Legacy on your PC, so that all the detail is transferred.
It syncs both to and from btw..

Could you elaborate on the instructions in the referenced web site? I am
unfamiliar with Families since I run Legacy on my iMAC desktop via Parallels 7
and then Windows 7. How would I be able to use an iPAD to run Legacy under
these conditions?

Charles,
In addition to the suggestions made by others, do not forget that if you wish
not to display any “marriage” names or relationships in reports, then the
Privacy/Invisible options can be used to prevent publication.
